    Custom jacket delivery and embroidery

New jacket orders take approximately 6 weeks from order to delivery. Once the jacket arrives at our Devine Street studio, we complete all embroidery and patch work — typically 1–2 additional weeks.

Pricing & turnaround

New Holloway jacket pricing starts at $191 for vinyl-sleeve styles and $278 for leather-sleeve styles (adult SM–2XL). Embroidery and patch attachment are quoted separately based on stitch count and the number of elements. Larger sizes (3XL–6XL) carry an additional charge. Custom jackets take approximately 6 weeks from order to delivery, plus 1–2 weeks for embroidery once the jacket arrives.

Clever Orchid is a Holloway varsity jacket dealer, which means you can order a brand-new custom jacket through our Devine Street studio — or bring a jacket you already own for embroidery and patch work. Either way, Shirly plans every layout in person with the student and family so the finished jacket looks balanced, intentional, and built to last.

Three jacket styles to choose from

We offer three Holloway jacket styles, all built on a premium Melton wool body with quilted lining, full snap front, and high-quality rib-trim collar, cuffs, and bottom band:

  • Varsity Jacket (224183) — Genuine leather sleeves and pocket welts. The classic varsity look. Available in 26 stock color combinations, or build your own from 29 wool body colors and 28 leather sleeve colors.
  • Award Jacket (224181) — Vinyl sleeves with a leather-look finish and contrast genuine leather pocket welts. A sharp option at a lower price point. Available in 5 stock colors plus custom combinations.
  • Letterman Jacket (224182) — All-wool construction with matching Melton wool body and sleeves. Clean, uniform look with contrast genuine leather pocket welts. Available in 4 stock colors plus custom combinations.

Every jacket includes an all-access embroidery zipper built into the lining, which lets us hoop and stitch cleanly without visible bobbin thread on the inside — a detail that matters when the jacket is worn open.

Sizes for adults, ladies, and youth

Adult sizes run from XS (chest 30–32) through 6XL (chest 66–70). Ladies' fit jackets are available in XS through 2XL with a modified, relaxed cut through sleeves and body. Youth sizes run from XS (size 4) through XL (size 18–20). Length adjustments are available from extra short to extra long in two-inch increments for body and sleeves independently.

Columbia-area schools we work with

We've stitched varsity jackets for students at Dreher, Spring Valley, Dutch Fork, Chapin, Irmo, A.C. Flora, Cardinal Newman, Heathwood Hall, Hammond, Ben Lippen, and many other schools across the Midlands. University of South Carolina students and alumni also order jackets for Greek life, club sports, and graduation keepsakes. If your school awards letters, we can build the jacket around them.

How ordering works

Use the jacket configurator below to select your style, colors, fit, size, and lettering preferences. Shirly will follow up to confirm your selections, finalize pricing, and place the order with Holloway. Custom jacket orders take approximately six weeks from order to delivery. Once the jacket arrives at our studio, embroidery and patch attachment typically take one to two additional weeks.

If you already have a jacket, skip the configurator and book an appointment directly — bring the jacket plus any patches, chenille letters, or pins you want attached. We'll plan the full layout together in person.

Multi-season jacket building

Many students build their jacket over multiple seasons — adding a new sport patch after sophomore year, a captain designation junior year, and a graduation year senior year. Clever Orchid keeps notes on every jacket we work on so returning customers get consistent fonts, thread colors, and placement across years. The jacket grows with the student.

Don't have letterman and varsity jackets yet? We can source them.

Clever Orchid holds a South Carolina retail license and works with wholesale apparel suppliers, so we can source letterman and varsity jacketsfor your order alongside the embroidery — one invoice, one pickup, one point of contact. Sourcing works best for small-batch and team orders; for a single one-off item we'll usually point you toward the best direct-to-consumer option instead so shipping doesn't outweigh the savings. Tell us what you need and we'll quote sourcing + embroidery together.
